Phil Jackson yesterday appeared on the Dan Patrick Show to talk about his latest book. Yes, the same one where he explains in detail why Michael Jordan was on another level from Kobe Bryant. In the interview he talks about job offers, his coaching career, and a proposed deal if Chris Hansen would have secured the Sonics. Here is the interview:
Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant donated a cool $1 million to the Red Cross on Tuesday after the 22-mile long tornado swept through Oklahoma on Monday, killing 24 people including nine children and leaving plenty of residents homeless and fighting for survival. The devastation and wreckage was broad reaching.
The news of Durant’s donation came via a tweet Tuesday afternoon from the Red Cross in which the agency said the Oklahoma City All-Star matched $1 million in funds donated for tornado relief by the American Red Cross (ARC). (Via Sports Illustrated)

JR Smith had an incredible season for the New York Knicks. He shot the lights out, and single handedly kept the Knicks in dozens of games helping them to a second best record in the East and en route to a Sixth Man of the Year award from the NBA.

I swear no matter how old Tim Duncan gets, provided he’s healthy, he doesn’t seem to decline in abilities. The man is beating the hell out of father time.
