Kim Kardashian, a reality television celebrity whose main claim to fame is a sex tape, is one of several celebrities who are cashing in on their loyal Twitter fans by spamming them without their knowledge. But she’s far from the worst offender. Dr. Drew Pinsky, a board-certified internist and addiction medicine specialist, who millions turn to for unbiased advice on his Twitter stream and nationally syndicated television and radio shows, also spams his Twitter followers. He joins a list of other D-list celebrities such as Lauren Conrad and Paris Hilton, who are being paid to promote products to Twitter fans. “In-stream advertising” company Ad.ly also claims its clients include Stephen Colbert, the “Comedy Central” commentator.

Kim Kardashian, who became famous in 2007 for having a big *ss and a sex tape, continues to use her titillating good looks to push products she is paid to sell. In a hot new commercial for Carl's Jr. fast food, Kardashian, 29, rolls around in bed and sits nude in a bathtub while seductively swallowing phallic-shaped pieces of chicken and apples. Kim, who has launched a mini-empire that now includes a hit reality TV show, a nude spread in Playboy magazine, workout DVDs, a clothing line and fragrance, was recently hired to push QuickTrim diet pills. Younger sister Khloe also lost 25 lbs. this summer, while big sister Kourtney gave birth to a son, Mason Dash Disick, on Dec. 14. Season 4 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays on E!
